The Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect Act of 1977 mandates that certain professions must report actual or suspected cases of child maltreatment.
The Consortium for Child Welfare provides this training for any organization that serves or has indirect contact with children and are designated as mandated reporters.
This training series is designed to enhance the participants’ knowledge including but not limited to the following areas; 1) Identifying signs of child maltreatment; 2) understanding the policies and procedures for responding to suspected child maltreatment; 3) reporting incidents or suspected incidents of child maltreatment to Child Protective Services.
