CCW advocates for vulnerable children, youth and families in the District of Columbia by uniting private human service providers to ensure a responsive and accountable system of care. This results in safety, family permanence, well-being and positive youth development.

- CCW Board & Committees - Each member agency has a seat on the Board of Directors and can participate on the many committees within CCW. This is a chance to expand your knowledge in diverse areas and to contribute your expertise. CCW members also have the opportunity to participate on public sector workgroups and taskforces.
- Professional Development - CCW provides a variety of continuing education opportunities through workshops and seminars.
- Provider Networking - CCW provides opportunities for members to share and receive information from other service providers.
- Public Policy - CCW is your voice in Public Policy, testifying at important hearings on legislation affecting the private provider community, making policy makers aware of the needs of vulnerable children, youth and families, and maintaining cooperative working relationships with advocates and public agencies serving children, youth and families. CCW members are represented and included in critical discussions with public sector officials on emerging issues.
- Information and Research - Through electronic communications , CCW keeps members informed on Federal, District and legislative actions affecting service providers, grant and funding opportunities, conferences and workshops, program development opportunities and other important information. Members attend informational meetings and forums on a variety of topics to keep members informed of issues impacting service delivery. CCW utilizes data and research to inform advocacy efforts in the areas of policy, practice and programming.
- Consultation and Assistance - CCW provides consultation and assistance in a variety of areas including administration, program development, licensing, contracting issues, trends, etc. Through the Peer Review Process, CCW will provide additional support to members through peer consultation and technical assistance.
