Your membership in CCW means you are part of dedicated organization the advocates for Your membership in CCW means you are part of a dedicated organization that advocates for children and families and programs that serve them. Our collective influence on public policy is stronger because you have joined with other service providers to identify, develop, implement and urge support for efficient and effective services for the District of Columbia's most vulnerable children, youth and families.

2. Family Ties Project

The Family Ties Project is a city-wide collaboration in Washington, DC which provides permanency planning/life planning services to families affected by HIV/AIDS in Washington, DC. The Family Ties Project is a project of The Consortium for Child Welfare. Services are provided through the direct collaborative efforts of a multi-disciplinary team of service providers, including case managers, therapists and attorneys. The project also advocates for policy changes to improve the life planning options available to parents and caregivers in Washington, DC.

3. CCW Training Academy

The Consortium for Child Welfare is offers training series on a variety of social work related topics. The trainings are created to train social workers, counselors, child welfare, other direct service providers, and foster parents in Washington DC and surrounding areas. All trainings provide participants with continuing education units (CEUs) accredited by the DC Board of Social Work. Each of the trainings is described below.
